´╗┐Set Company Global Settings

Before getting started you need to setup your company global information. Click on the Setup section tab to open the Enter Global Settings screen.

  • Enter your Company name, Contact person name, company street Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, Fax, Email, WEB address.
  • Click in the Letterhead Logo box and pop down the Insert menu and select Picture. Select your company logo that may appear at the top of your proposal and letters.
  • Click in the Background box if you want to have your background logo on your proposal and follow the same procedure used to insert your Letterhead Logo.

The bottom part of the screen is for setting your default settings.

Default settings allow you to setup automatic calculations and information that can be over written on the proposal entry screens.

Recipe Margin% - is the percentage of profit based on the cost and set price of a recipe item. When you enter the price/serving of a recipe the cost will automatically calculate based on the default Recipe Margin%.

Product Margin% - is the percentage of profit based on the purchase cost and price of a product item. When you enter the purchase cost of a product the price will automatically calculate based on the default Product Margin%.

Rental Markup% - The percentage you multiply the cost by to calculate the amount of profit added to the cost to calculate the sell price of products.

Deposit% or Deposit$ - calculates the amount of deposit requested. Deposit% is based on the sub total of the proposal and Deposit$ is a fixed dollar amount.

Set Price Per Person Defaults - Mark which totals to include in the price per person calculation. Set No Tax Default - Enter your Sales Tax% and mark which totals are NOT taxed.

Set Default Service Charge - Enter the SC% and mark which totals to include in the service charge calculation.

CaterEdge allows you to designate 2 types of orders. Service orders that are Delivery/Pickup orders which do not require a proposal presentation and full service Event orders.

Set Default Times for Event Orders - set time titles and hours based on event start time. Set Default Times for Service Orders - set time titles and hours based on delivery/pickup time.
